Public Solicitation: Assembly Bill 32 Environmental Justice Advisory Committee
Thank you for your interest in the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB or Board) Assembly Bill (AB) 32 Environmental Justice Advisory Committee (EJAC).
The California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (Assembly Bill (AB) 32; Stats. 2006, chapter 488) directed CARB to convene an EJAC, to advise the Board in developing the Scoping Plan, and any other pertinent matter in implementing AB 32.
CARB is soliciting new EJAC membership for 2026 – 2029 EJAC to be comprised of 11 dedicated members. This application form is for potential EJAC candidates to submit required materials for CARB’s review and consideration in the solicitation process. Specific criteria that will be evaluated to support CARB’s final candidate determinations include, but are not limited to:
Representatives from communities in the State with the most significant exposure to air pollution, including but not limited to communities with minority populations or low-income populations, or both, pursuant to AB 32 statute and California Health and Safety Code section 38591.
Geographic representation across California, including underrepresented communities. Candidates who possess environmental justice / community experience.
Candidates who possess expertise / knowledge in relevant AB 32 sectors.

Your application may be disqualified for any incomplete, false or misleading statements or for omitting information. The information provided in this application will be used to determine your eligibility and final rating determinations. All applications will be reviewed with the same level of scrutiny.
