EPA Policy Statement on Climate Change Adaptation

Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to report that Administrator Lisa P. Jackson signed the EPA
Policy Statement on Climate Change Adaptation earlier today. It is an
honor and pleasure for me to share the signed Policy Statement with you.
(A copy is attached as a PDF file.)

I want to thank all of you for your leadership and support with the
development of the Policy Statement. When we transmitted the Policy
Statement to the Administrator for her review and approval, we conveyed
that this was a product of our Cross-EPA Work Group on Climate Change
Adaptation Planning. I was delighted to include a list containing all of
your names as members of the Work Group (including alternates) in the
transmittal to the Administrator.

The Policy Statement is a landmark event for the Agency, and I hope you
take pride in the significant role you played in making this happen.
