Safe to Swim Web Portal Meeting

Post by NaepcA1 »

This is a message from the State Water Resources Control Board.
Hello Beach and Fresh Water Quality People,

The date for our next Safe to Swim web portal management meeting is being moved from June 14th until July 14th. Because of travel restrictions we shall try a WebEx only meeting (so you can participate from your own desk!). Agenda and times will be distributed within two weeks.

The purpose of the group is to coordinate the monitoring and assessment of issues affecting swimming safety and also to report that information to decision makers and the public through Safe to Swim Water Quality web portal.
Our goals are to determine what do agency decision makers and the public really want to know about swimming safety on a local, regional and statewide basis? How can we best inform decision making?
Our last meeting was March 23, 2011 at SCCWRP from 10:00 till 3:00 pm.

The group worked on developing priorities for information desired by group for the public. This led to a discussion and voting on items included in the Safe to Swim priorities Excel Sheet (Attached) .
