Tribal Environmental Directors,
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has developed a draft policy regarding the budgeting and reimbursement of Indirect Costs under grants. At the last RTOC meeting hosted by the Picayune Rancheria, this new policy was discussed during the grant workgroup meeting. Attached you will find the highlights of this new policy. If this policy applies to your tribal government, we would like to give you the opportunity to include indirect costs in your proposed General Assistance Program (GAP) grant budget which is currently being reviewed by your Tribal Program Office project officer.
Action needed: If you would like to request indirect costs, please email your revised GAP budget to your project officer no later than Friday, March 18, 2011. Upon receipt, your project officer will email you an acknowledgement.
Reminder: The Tribal Program Office will make every effort to approve indirect cost requests, however, additional funding is not guaranteed.
Questions regarding your budget revision should be directed to your Tribal Program Office project officer.
