Transport Rule

Post by NaepcA1 »

Attached is a comment letter FdL sent to the EPA on the Transport Rule.
The letter was taken mostly from the NTAA model letter (thanks Bob!).
In the letter we stress that tribal consultation was never done on this rule. We also sent a follow-up letter to Gina McCarthy a few weeks ago.
As you'll see in the message below, the EPA is going to be moving to offer formal consultation to all tribes on this rule. Maybe you NTAA EC members already know this.

I know everyone's got a heavy workload, but this will be a wonderful opportunity to have our voices heard. If you have any concerns about the Transport Rule or know another tribe who does, please take advantage of the upcoming opportunity for consultation. Since there are no provisions for tribal set-asides in the rule, I think we should all be as active as we can on letting EPA know that this is a concern.
