Confronting Climate Change: A Focus on Local Government Impacts, Actions and Resources
April 9, 2012: California Endowment, 1000 North Alameda Street, Los Angeles, CA

This one-day, invitation-only event will provide a summary on the most recent scientific understanding of climate change impacts to cities and counties throughout California and outline the tools and resources for local governments to address climate change impacts. Discussions will focus on coordinated regional efforts, funding opportunities and strategies to reduce risk and impacts that will create jobs and help local economies. The event will also offer opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and networking between local governments in attendance.

For those not able to attend the event in person, a live webcast will be available on the day of the conference. Recordings of the conference will also be available shortly after the conference.

RESOURCES
For travel information, including directions to the facility and recommended hotels, please visit The California Endowment’s website. If you are flying to Los Angeles, we recommend the Bob Hope International Airport located in Burbank due to it’s proximity to downtown and convenient access to light rail with direct access to Union Station (one block from the conference facility).
If you are driving to the California Endowment, parking is provided free of charge. The Main Lot will remain open until 7:30 PM, and Lot C will close at 5:00 PM.

TRAXX Restaurant will validate parking for up two hours at Union Station.
