Tribal QA Training

Post by NaepcA1 »

Hi All,

I wanted to provide you the following information regarding the series of Tribal Quality Assurance training sessions to be held at the Susanville Indian Rancheria:

Dates of Training:
Session 1: Establishing an Environmental Monitoring Program Design April 3-5 8:30-5:00
Session 2: Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) and Data Validation May 22-24 8:30-5:00
(Optional tour of an environmental laboratory in Reno area on May 21 at 1:00-3:00. Please register with John Fields at jfields@usbr.gov, if interested)
Session 3: Environmental Sample Collection Protocol and Data Assessment June 19-21 8:30-5:00
(Optional extension of bioassessment training on Friday morning, June 22 at 08:30 – 12:30)

Location of Training:
Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel, 745 Joaquin Street, Susanville, CA 96130
Ask for the Tribal rate of $67 per night, and reference the Water Quality Training. The training sessions will be held in one of the hotel conference rooms so please inquire as to its specific location when you check in. The hotel is located approximately 82 miles north of the Reno airport, just off of Hwy 395, and it is normally a 90 minute drive.

During the third session in late June on sample collection, bring appropriate clothing and footwear to keep comfortable in the heat and to wear while collecting samples and working around and in water. If you have any questions on the training agenda or optional laboratory tour, contact John Fields at 916 978-5280, jfields@usbr.gov or Bob Hall at 415 947-4123, hall.robertk@epa.gov .

Some of your colleagues who have registered for the training did not provide an email address so please share the above information with them.
