Water Resources Technician Training Program

Post by NaepcA1 »

I received a request from BIA to help them get the word out to folks in Reclamation and other bureaus/departments, with the request that they in turn share with tribal officials or members who may have an interest in the program. The program will be held at the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona from July 8, 2012 to August 3, 2012, followed by a one year period during which the student receives a stipend while working as an entry level water resources technician. Applications are due by April 20. Attached are copies of the program announcement, SF- 171 application, and pledge form to remain alcohol and substance free during the training.

If you know of anyone who might be interested in this program, please share this info. Questions about applying to the program or about the 2012 program should be directed to Mo Baloch, whose contact info is included in the training announcement. Mo can also be reached at Mohammad.Baloch@bia.gov. I can also answer limited general questions about the program, having participated in at least one of the sessions in each of the 20 or so years that the program has been held.
