NAEPC will be hosting a 40-hour HAZWOPER training on June 16-17 and June 21-23 from 8:00-5:00pm. This training will take place at NAEPC office in Temecula. Attached is the 40 hour HAZWOPER registration form. If you are interested in this training, please fill out and return form via email or fax to 951-296-5109. Please submit registration by Monday, June 6, 2011. This training is open to Tribal EPA Departments, Transfer Station Employees, Tribal Fire Departments or Emergency Responders. Also, those who work in professions that may deal with hazardous materials or hazardous materials incidents. It is advised that you bring your own respirators that you use on the job in order to receive proper training on the equipment that your tribe uses. Also, please note that a doctor’s letter is required confirming that participants are able to lift and carry 40 pounds on back. Please request your doctor to perform a sports or OSHA physical.
