JOB TITLE: Water Resources Program Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Water Resources Program Manager will work 40 hours per week in the Big Valley Environmental Protection Department under the supervision of the Tribal Environmental Director. This position is responsible for helping strengthen and develop the Water Program at Big Valley, craft responses to county and state agencies that impact the Tribe’s water quality and protect the Tribe’s waters and resources. This position will periodically require supervision of temporary staff and will be considered an exempt employee.

The Water Resources Program Manager will be required to fulfill tasks under any grants that are associated with water quality, water monitoring and water implementation projects.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with Tribal water programs in a managerial capacity
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs and online research
• Ability to operate Tribal monitoring equipment (boats, Hydrolab, Hach Spectrophotometer, Mercury Analyzer, GPS)
• High School diploma, college diploma with a science degree is preferred
• Ability to travel periodically to local, regional and out of state trainings and meetings
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid California Drivers License
• Willing to submit to and pass drug tests
