Bioassessment Training
Wednesday, March 21, 2012 – Classroom 5pm-8pm
Saturday, March 24, 2012 – Field Sampling 9am-3pm
Speaker: Erick Burres, Citizen Monitoring Coordinator, California State Water Resources Control Board
Participation is open to anyone with an interest in learning more about a
rapidly developing field of environmental assessment. No experience or
previous training required. There is no charge for volunteer training!
However, volunteers are asked to donate at least two days of participation
in local sampling events over the next two years, in return for the training.
There is a $100 fee for professional personnel attending the training.
Actual stream sampling will be conducted in the San Diego River
watershed later this spring. Trainees are encouraged to come out and
practice your newly acquired skills.
