Environmental Field Conferences & Expositions

Geotech is pleased to announce its participation in and sponsorship of the 2012 North American Environmental Field Conferences & Expositions presented by The Nielsen Environmental Field School in cooperation with The American Institute of Hydrology, The American Institute of Professional Geologists, ASTM, the California Groundwater Resources Association, and the University of South Florida Water Institute. The first conference will be in San Diego, CA, February 7 – 10 (at the Marriott Courtyard at Liberty Station), and the second conference will be in Tampa, FL, March 13 – 16 (at the Embassy Suites at the University of South Florida).
The theme of the 2012 conferences is “Advances & Innovations in Environmental Site Characterization, Sampling, Monitoring and Remediation”. Each conference will feature 60 hours of indoor workshops and 24 hours of outdoor workshops arranged according to specific topics; also featured are 40 indoor and outdoor exhibits and an active social calendar. The early response to these conferences has been very positive, with many exhibitors and presenters vying for spots well in advance of the scheduled dates. Some of the presentation titles are: “Sources of and Methods to Reduce Sampling Variability”, “Continuous Monitoring for Benzene at Contaminated Sites”, and “Vapor-Phase Remediation Technologies”. Dr. Dave Rich, Geotech’s President, will be giving a presentation at both conferences entitled “Managing Environmental Data From the Field to the Map” which will provide practical usable information on: planning and executing field programs, managing your laboratories to help you get quality data to use, importing lab and field data, and managing data quality along with selecting, reporting, and mapping your data.
