EPA Region 9 is requesting applications for Targeted Brownfields Assessments (TBA). All eligible projects are funded until the funds are used.

TBAs are conducted by EPA for your community. They evaluate environmental conditions at Brownfields properties as a step towards cleanup and redevelopment of these properties. These assessments will determine the nature and extent of contamination, and may provide preliminary cost estimates for cleaning up the property.

Reuse or redevelopment for tribes can include open space, grazing, and buildings. TBAs can also be used for land use planning.

The application is interactive and can be submitted by email.
