KAMB Grant Application

KHS 2011 GLOYD-TAYLOR SCHOLARSHIP & KAMB GRANT APPLICATIONS
The 18th annual "Howard Kay Gloyd-Edward Harrison Taylor Scholarship" and 12th annual "Alan H. Kamb Grant for Research on Kansas Snakes" will be given during the KHS 38th Annual Meeting at the Great Plains Nature Center in Wichita, Kansas, on Saturday afternoon, 5 November 2011, during the KHS business meeting.
The Gloyd-Taylor Scholarship is named for Howard K. Gloyd and Edward H. Taylor, two distinguished Kansas herpetologists. The Kamb Grant is named in honor and memory of Alan H. Kamb, longtime supporter and member of the Kansas Herpetological Society.
The KHS Awards Committee, composed of Daniel D. Fogell (University of Nebraska at Omaha), Eva A. Horne (Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas) and Walter E. Meshaka, Jr. (State Museum of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg), will consider nominations for both awards until 15 September 2011 and will choose the recipients. Please send your nominations/applications to

The Gloyd-Taylor Scholarship for 2011 will be $300.00 and the Kamb Grant for 2011 will be $300.00, both to be presented by KHS President Derek Schmidt. The winning recipients must be present at the KHS Awards Ceremony before the start of the KHS auction on Saturday evening to be recognized and receive their checks and mementos.
