The California Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) is the state agency charged with developing the overall strategy for reducing California’s output of gases that contribute to global warming, or “greenhouse gasses.” ARB staff is in the process of preparing proposed updates to the “AB 32 Scoping Plan,” California’s blueprint for reducing the State’s emissions of greenhouse gases. ARB staff has scheduled two conference calls to discuss the Scoping Plan Update with members and representatives of California’s Indian Tribes, and to solicit your input, as shown below.
Wednesday, August 14 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday, August 16 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The toll-free call-in number for both calls is (877) 491-0280
The participant access code is 1632804
During the conference call, ARB staff will provide background on AB 32 and the 2008 AB 32 Scoping Plan, and present preliminary concepts for updating the Scoping Plan. The presentation materials that will be used in the conference call are attached, and can also be downloaded from ARB’s scoping plan website at http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/scopingplan/me ... _final.pdf.
ARB expects to have enough ports available for each conference call, but would appreciate it if individuals who are participating from the same location could call in from a single phone line if possible.
For those who are unable to participate in the conference call but would like to learn more about the Scoping Plan Update, the video archive of a recent general information webcast about the Update is available online, at http://www.aqmd.gov/aqmd/webcast/webcast_calendar.htm. Additional information is also available at http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/scopingplan/scopingplan.htm.
