The Federal Register currently includes the following Announcement of Availability of Funds and Request for Application for Competitive Cooperative Agreements for Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC).
2012 Risk Management Education in Targeted States
The purpose of the Targeted States program is to deliver crop insurance education and information to U.S. agricultural producers in States where there is traditionally, and continues to be, a low level of Federal crop insurance participation and availability, and producers are underserved by the Federal crop insurance program. These states are: Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming. The goal is to ensure all U.S. farmers and ranchers are well informed as to the risk management solutions available.
Important Highlights
Deadline: All applications must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov and received by May 18, 2012.
Minimum and Maximum Award: Varies by state, please see the announcement.
Cost Sharing: No cost sharing required.
