To All Eligible GPD Tribal HSGP grantees:
FEMA/GPD will conduct a THSGP training conference, April 11 and 12, 2012, in Denver, Colorado. The purpose of this meeting is to help Tribal nations prepare and submit their 2012 THSGP grant program applications and investments for the 2012 THSGP Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) grant cycle. All current FEMA/GPD Tribal grantee points of contacts (POC) are strongly encouraged to attend. The following subjects will be discussed:
• How to prepare and submit a THSGP grant application through FEMA’s Non Disaster Grants (NDG) System;
• How to write an effective THSGP investment justification;
• Grants Reporting and Financial Management;
• FEMA/GPD Program Oversight, Monitoring and Site Visits;
• DHS Programmatic and Financial Audits;
• Preparing Project Funding for FEMA Environmental and Historic Preservation (EHP) Project Reviews and Approvals, and
• THSGP Lessons Learned from the fiscal year (FY) 2010 and 2011 grant cycles.
Seating is limited so early registration is recommended. Current FEMA/GPD THSGP grantees may use grant funds to pay for this travel. Conference hotel space, information to register for the conference, directions and maps, and other logistics information will be forthcoming soon.
