I am writing to tell you that the LUST Recovery Act quarterly performance report for October 1 – December 31, 2011 is now available on EPA’s website (http://www.epa.gov/oust/eparecovery/perfmeas.htm). This report provides data regarding performance measures and jobs supported by LUST Recovery Act money. The report gives interested stakeholders a more detailed look at how Recovery Act money is helping to assess and clean up releases from underground storage tanks while also providing economic benefits to communities across America.
As of the end of December, 38 of the 54 states and territories that received LUST Recovery Act money completed their work. Most of the remaining states will complete their work in 2012, ensuring additional accomplishments and jobs. In addition, those states will continue to report their accomplishments over the next year.
Thanks to those of you and your staff who provided information and conducted a quality assurance and quality control review of the LUST Recovery Act performance measures. If you have questions about this quarter’s report, please contact me or Steven McNeely ( mcneely.steven@epa.gov or 703-603-7164).
