The Jamul Indian Village and Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians are partnering together to host a Tribal Earth Day celebration on May 20, 2023, from 11:00 to 3:30pm and we would like to extend an invitation to your organization to participate. We are looking for educators/vendors to have interactive booths that engage attendees young and old in the amazing work being done in the environmental/sustainability/regenerative space. Booths should try to reflect this year’s themes of “Planting Healthy food to support a healthy environment and Healthy families.” We will be planting food and native plants in the Viejas Orchard if you would like to bring seeds or saplings to plant it would be welcomed.
We are asking that booths be set up between 10:15am and 10:50am to be ready by 11am. We hope that you will stay the entire time and not begin to pack up until after 3:30pm. We may be able to provide a table upon request, but they are limited and ask that vendors provide their own tables, chairs, tablecloth, and canopy (if desired).
While it is not required, we hope that your organization might be able to donate an item for our raffle which will take place that afternoon at 3:00pm.
Feel free to distribute this email and flyer to those who may be interested in setting up a booth and do not hesitate to reach out to Viejas’ or Jamul’s Environmental departments for further information.
