Animal Disease Traceability
Posted: Wed Feb 15, 2012 5:36 pm
Good afternoon everyone,
I just wanted to remind you again that USDA, APHIS, VS will be offering Animal Disease Traceability Cooperative Agreement funding to Tribal Nations for 2012.
The 2012 funds are limited but can be used to prepare for the new Traceability requirements expected to be implemented later this year?
Once the regulations are approved and become effective:
All cattle/ bison that move interstate must be officially identified and move on in Certificate of Veterinary Inspections in most cases, there are a few exemptions.
If your tribe is interested in receiving any of the Traceability funds please contact your Area Veterinary In Charge for your respective states.
Or you can notify me and I will include your tribe on the allocation list.
The 2012 funds are limited and will be allocated very fast, so please contact me if interested in the funds or if you would like additional information about the
Animal Disease Traceability requirements!
Thanks
