Registration Open for the 2017 Southwest Tribal Climate Change Summit!

Hello Southwest Tribes!

The La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians is partnering with the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals, Climate Education Partners, and the Climate Science Alliance, to plan and host the Southwest Tribal Climate Change Summit to be held on September 19 – 21, 2017 in San Diego. I encourage you to review the Summit information at the website linked below and to register for the Summit as soon as possible since space is limited. I also encourage you to share this information with other Tribal departments as we hope to involve people who are not specifically working on climate change issues but who would benefit from the information such as Tribal water departments, fire departments, business analysts, planners, health professionals, etc. This will be a great opportunity for you to learn about and prepare for how climate change may affect your Tribal operations, and to network with environmental professionals from Tribes, climate professionals, and other agencies and organizations.

Please visit the 2017 Southwest Tribal Climate Change Summit website for more details.
