The Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources (CIER) has created a new website – Indigenous Food First. Check it out at iffculture.ca.
Iff! Culture was created to help Indigenous youth connect with each other to talk about food, environment, culture and their future. It is a place where Indigenous youth can learn and share ideas. Check out our fact sheets for information about environment issues and how-to guides for actions you can take to compost, start a garden, make a digital story, and more. Download yummy recipes on how to prepare indigenous foods and share your own! Resources for teachers are also included.
The website will grow and expand as young people become members of iff! and upload their own stories, recipes, upcoming events – and just start talking about these issues. As a bonus for sharing their information on iffculture.ca, youth can enter to win an iPod. Check out the poster – print the poster and put it up to spread the word about IFF! and the contest.
