Hi everyone,

I am forwarding the information for the State Water Resources Control Board’s College of Bioassessment Courses. The stream team had Jim Harrington come out and teach the same courses to us specifically in 2015 (field procedures) and last year (lab procedures). In case you missed them, you may want to think about attending as they are very helpful courses for understanding all of the concepts of bioassessment and SWAMP procedures.

It seems like we won’t be able to fit another meeting in before La Jolla’s sampling in May. I will still work on that cheat sheet of the finer points of sampling and references frequently needed to send out ahead of the sampling. May 16th or 17th are the proposed days for La Jolla’s sampling. Let me know which works best for you so we can set a date.

Speaking of dates, I spoke with Stacy Hishinuma from the Forest Service about the training on insect ID and invasive insects. She proposed us to pick one day during either April 25-27 or May 15-17. If you are interested, let me know if any of these days work for you. I realize we are planning to sample La Jolla during that second week, but if you would be willing and able to do one day for the training and another for the sampling in the same week we may be able to schedule that. If there is not a good date for the majority, we can look into scheduling it for a later time.

Please get back to me as soon as you know what dates will or won’t work for the sampling and training.
