Clean Water Team and the Council for Watershed Health

Post by NaepcA1 »

This August the Clean Water Team and the Council for Watershed Health will hold the first California Citizen Monitoring Conference. Its open to all programs involved with citizen monitoring as well as tribal water quality monitoring programs. Were also opeing the conference to citizen monitors outside of California that work within shared watersheds.

A "Save the Date" announcement was published in the newsletter Watermarks: The California Newsletter for Citizen Water Quality Monitoring. http://www.waterboards.ca.gov/water_iss ... s_2012.pdf. Its the first newsletter that I've had since 2006. The newsletter was also created through my collaboration with the Council for Watershed. In future editions I'd like to include articles that feature Native American water quality monitoring programs.

I hope that you'll be able to spread the word about the conference and the newsletter. Should you or another program already have an article that we could work with, I should be able to include it within one of the next Watermarks. If the NAEPC would like to be a sponsor or fund scholarships for conference attendance by your partners, I'd be more than happy to make that happen.

Sincerely,

Erick Burres
