Bioassessment Announcements

Post by NaepcA1 »

Hello Everyone, this is my first e-mail of the new year and the first thing I need to do is clean up my e-mail list. I added those new attendee from the CABW meeting in November and from my recent contacts. Please let me know if you do not want to be included for further announcements.

I have attached the flyer for this year's Bioassessment Field Training which will be 2-days and include both bug and algae sampling in one class. The training is sponsored by the State Board Training Academy and was announced to Board staff last week. Spots are going fast so don't wait to register. If a course is full, first try to attend at another location, but if that is not an option, then sign up on the waiting list and if there is enough demand, I may offer a second class at that location.

This next announcement comes from Marco Sigala from Moss Landing Marine Lab:

SWAMP has updated the Bioassessment Data Entry Tool on it's website in preparation for the 2012 sample season. Please download the zip file and use the tools/applications for your field and taxa data entry if you are following SWAMP protocols. I will host a WebEx webinar on April 9th beginning at 1 pm to discuss the minor changes made to the field forms and then answer any questions related to the tools. This webinar is not meant as a full training on how to use the BA Field Forms and will last as long as there are questions or until 3 pm. If you are new to the field forms, please listen to the 2 hour recorded training webinar prior to attending the webinar on April 9th.
