SWRB Seeks Input on Revision of CA Code Title 27

Post by NaepcA1 »

The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is beginning a preliminary, informal process to consider revising existing sections of California Code of Regulations, Title 27, Division 2, subdivision 1 (Title 27). Title 27 contains consolidated regulations for the State Water Board and California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), and provides minimum standards for treatment, storage, processing, or disposal of solid waste.
Title 27 regulations were adopted more than 20 years ago, and some sections may need to be revised or updated to meet current standards of practice.
The State Water Board is seeking early input to assess whether and how Title 27 sections should be revised or updated. The State Water Board is sending this letter to invite you to discuss concerns about existing or potential changes to Title 27 regulations.
Attached is an Information Sheet that will provide more details about the informal rulemaking and the Listening Session process. If you are interested in this rulemaking effort, please respond to State Water Board contact Nadine Langley at Nadine.Langley@waterboards.ca.gov or (916) 341-5644 by May 31, 2018 and the State Water Board contact will schedule a meeting with you. If you are not available to participate in a meeting, but would like to provide comments, please send written comments to Nadine Langley at the email address above. The State Water Board welcomes your comments at any time.
