PESTICIDE & HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE AWARENESS WORKSHOP: FEBRUARY 15, 2012

Please mark your calendars for TEHC meeting and Pesticide and Household Hazardous Waste Awareness workshop on February 15th, 2012 from 9:00am-3:00pm.

Many people are not aware that there are products lurking under the kitchen sink that may contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable, or include reactive ingredients that are potentially harmful to your health and the environment. Products such as paints, cleaners, oils, batteries, and pesticides that contain potentially hazardous ingredients require special care when using and disposing of it.

Please join NAEPC, Tribal Environmental Health Collaborative, and Loma Linda University on Wednesday, February 15th, 2012 for the Pesticide and Household Hazardous Waste Awareness workshop at the NAEPC office in Temecula. Learn the health effects associated with exposure to pesticides and household hazardous waste and ways to avoid these exposures by using and disposing of it properly. Although these products combat pests and prevent the spreading of diseases, it also contain chemicals which can be harmful to human health, animals, and the environment.

If you are interested in attending this workshop, please feel out attached registration form and return via email: cfoster@naepc.com or fax to 1 (951) 296-5109 by Friday, February 10th. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
