Zika Messaging

Post by NaepcA1 »

Dear Community Partners:

Please see the attached newsletter from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) on Zika messaging and feel free to share with your members and partners.

From CDPH:
With summer just around the corner, CDPH is reminding Californians that with the warmer weather comes peak mosquito season at home and abroad. Californians traveling to areas with Zika continue to be at risk of contracting the virus, which, in pregnant women, can cause miscarriage, stillbirth and severe birth defects.

In addition, National Mosquito Awareness Week is from June 24 - 30, 2018. This is a great opportunity for you to help us raise awareness about Zika and other mosquito-transmitted viruses, particularly as we enter peak travel and mosquito season.

This summer, we would appreciate your continued assistance in communicating the potential risks and proper precautions to prevent the spread of the Zika Virus in California. Please use the social media posts provided below to inform your audience. For more information, visit http://www.zikafreeca.com.
