REGIONAL DROUGHT & WATER RELIABILITY

Post by NaepcA1 »

On October 4, 2016, 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m., NAEPC and the Pala Band of Mission Indians are providing a presentation on Regional Drought and Water Reliability. Southern California remains warm and dry. Many of the reservoirs are still low awaiting for the promised El Nino rains. Meanwhile many aquifers are not recharging as quickly as they once did. All of these things lead to the need for a safe and reliable water supply which requires money for storage and increased water efficiency.

Presenter: Mark Stadler is the IRWM Program Manager and Principal Water Resource Specialist at the San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA). His professional experience brings all aspects of water supply and water quality specific to Southern California. Additionally he works with grant funds to improve water supply reliability within the county.
