NAEPC and Rincon Band of Luiseno Indians are providing this workshop on Vector Bourne Disease (VBD). As you know VBD has the potential to impact all of us. Mosquitos know no boundaries. We all will get bitten by a mosqui-to at some point within our lifetime.
This workshop will cover VBD risk assessment, transmission and spread. Learn how the county is working on this issue. Learn more how to survey for diseases carried by vectors, how to reduce people’s exposure and how to conduct vector inspection as well as educate the community.
PRESENTER: Chris Conlan is the supervising vector ecologist at San Diego County Vector Control. He supervises staff in the surveillance of vector bourne diseases for the entire County of San Diego.
