Rain Harvest Workshop, Thurs. Aug. 4, 2016-Pala Fire Station

On Thursday, August 4, 2016, 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m., NAEPC and the Pala Band of Mission Indians will be providing a rain harvesting workshop. This workshop will assist the attendee in evaluating rain harvesting options and resources to install, redirect, and use rain water for other non-potable uses such as landscape irrigation.

There are several techniques to be presented in the collection, capturing and using of rain water. Other considerations include sizing, operating and managing your system.

PRESENTER: Mike Garcia is the founder of Enviroscape LA. He earned a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and is a C27 Licensed landscaper. His work is featured in numerous magazines such as Water Garden News, and California Landscape Contractor. He has made guest appearances on the hit television shows "Extreme Home Makeover, HGTV's "Landscaper's Challenge and A&E's hit series "Fix that Yard." He also works with the State Licensing Board for Contractors. His notable works can be seen at Science Museum and the Greystone Mansion. He specializes with drought tolerant plants a, drip irrigation.
